Our Magical History
Our Founder: Alex Chudolij grew up in New England, beginning a decade of formal accordion schooling at age 6 from former NBC Radio entertainer, Rhode Island College Professor of Music and director of Gasperini Music Studios – Tulio Gasperini. By the time Alex reached his mid-teens, he had captured a number of AAA awards in state and national competitions.
Pre-Music Magic: At the age of 15, Alex joined the house band at a Borscht Belt resort in NY’s Catskill Mtns. For the folliwing 6 years he served as bandleader and assistant social director for the resort’s busy summer seasons, providing almost daily dance music, concert solos, stage act and folk dance ensemble accompaniment. Alex’s music was heard across the East Coast at weddings, festivals and various political and public events. European music was highlighted at most of his specialized venue. Alex also has recorded four musical albums to his credit.
Internet Magic: In 1987 Alex founded Music Magic USA – America’s first internet-based accordion dealership. As the business grew, Music Magic USA opened a new accordion showroom in northern New Jersey which continues to provide a unique casual environment in which to audition, compare, learn about and select from a diverse array of the world’s finest accordions, many being customized for more critical specifications of Music Magic USA clientele while others were models created for/designed by Music Magic USA.
